2012 submissions now open!

Yes, it's that time again, where has the year gone? You can now submit your short comedy films, sketches and sitcom or web series pilots for a chance to win a coveted COFILMIC award.

The categories and time limits are:

BEST COMEDY SHORT FILM: 5 MINS MAX RUN TIME
BEST SITCOM OR WEB SERIES PILOT: 5 MINS MAX RUN TIME
BEST SKETCH: 5 MINS MAX RUN TIME

A practical 6 week course led by David Isaac, covering all aspects of writing and pitching your TV sitcom or comedy drama, delivered by a professional writer who is actively creating and writing TV comedy.

Gumption sketch competition

COFILMIC and the Gumption Centre are inviting screenplay submissions for comedy films or filmed comedy sketches in a new competition sponsored by Bradford City of Film. More details are available here.

Submissions close on 31 May and winners will be announced at an event at Glyde House in Bradford on Wed June 27th.

Sketch In The City

We are pleased to announce our own fabulous Sketch In The City players, all limbered up and ready to bring some brand new sketchwriting to life! See them perform on the last Thursday of each month at our new sketch and character comedy nights at the 3 Minute Theatre starting Thursday 26th April.
